Your Mouth, Your Heart, Your Faith (James 1:26-27)

Walk with Me

“If you put yourself on a pedestal, thinking you have become a role model in all things religious, but you can’t control your mouth, then think again. Your mouth exposes your heart, and your religion is useless. Real, true religion from God the Father’s perspective is about caring for the orphans and widows who suffer needlessly and resisting the evil influence of the world.” – The Voice

James thinks about his brother’s life again as he pens these words. He compares the life of he saw Jesus live at home and in His ministry every day with the religious leaders of his day with all of their pomp and ceremony. In yesterday’s post I mentioned the importance of doing what God’s word says, not just knowing what it says. James had seen enough of that around him. All talk and no do amounts to nothing. Look again at his words.

  1. Thanks for sharing my blog. The word spreads, the more it can grow in the hearts of people. I’m glad you stopped by “Walk with Me” and enjoyed it enough to pass it along. rla
