C is for Commitment

“A faithful man will abound with blessings . . .”

– Proverbs 28:20

The Bible speaks many times to us about God’s faithfulness and encourages us to be faithful to God and His ways.  In fact, a heavenly vision of Jesus revealed Him as being called “Faithful and True” (Revelation 19:11, KJV).  A modern and rather descriptive word for faithful is committed, and it is very suited to the goals of homeschooling.

The “C” in the ABCs of homeschooling is commitment.   I have often felt that homeschooling is more about commitment that anything else we consider.  It is essential through the ups and downs of living that we be committed in our homeschool walk.  That is part of why writing down your reasons to homeschool is so important.   It enables you to look at them when problems crowd in, and renew your commitment to this…
